Position

The purpose of this position is to develop real-time applications in an SS7 environment to support the provision of software and services to dozens of mobile network operators who, in turn, serve hundreds of millions of subscribers around the world.

Responsibilities

As part of the company's software engineering unit, SS7 software engineers contribute to the development and maintenance of software modules to support the company's solutions, including mobile device management and advanced messaging.

Reporting the manager of software engineering, the software engineer's tasks include:

• Contributing to the design phase of software modules in liaison with software architects.

• Development of software modules and real-time telecoms applications using C, C++, the telecom protocols associated with SS7/Sigtran (including TCAP, MAP, SCCP, M3UA) as well as GSM call flows.

• Testing, debugging and delivering software modules.

• Delivering software solutions in liaison with implementation teams.

• Dealing with technical customer contacts around the world (including some travel to customer sites).

• Providing high-level post-implementation support to implementation teams and technical customer contacts.

Profile

• Appropriate engineering degree or equivalent technical education.

• Several years' experience in telecoms software development.

• Experience with the specification, development and testing of applications and APIs in an environment that includes SS7/Sigtran and the telecom protocols listed above.

• A clear understanding of Experience in communicating effectively with both software teams, management and customers.

• Excellent spoken and written English.
